Yippeeeee! One of my most favorite things to do……….go antiquing! As I piddle around the house today, and am regrouping….it’s beginning to look more like an antique mall booth than a home! I thought I would share some of my summer finds. I hesitated doing this until I had them reworked, and displayed, but realize this is my favorite part of many other blogs. Seeing what people find in raw form. Sooooo, here’s a bit of background info….. I’m in love with the rusty spring….just to share a bit, I think I’ll slide glass bottles into the springs, add dried flowers and mount on an old floor board, hello for sale at next months art show! I’m beginning to collect vintage rose prints, soon to be hung on my upstairs hall. The little blue cups, $1!!! Yes, you heard me right. It’s old hotel china. Would it be tacky to leave the price tag on? $1 people! I want to wear it like a badge of honor! Do I need to even say anything about vintage bottles? Well, maybe a little, added to a picket fence, insert dried flowers, presto! Instant wall art, and yes, included in next month’s Cincinnati City flea. Keys, yes used often, but one cannot leave an antique store without just a few….I like the one that says, “Best”, this will be the beginning of a necklace. The spool of thread, Yes!!!!! I’m thinkin’ white bottle brush tree sitting on top at Christmas, , I’m feeling very merry now! The white chippy shelf thingy, been looking for one for ever, this will hold vintage family baby cups, and yes, I cried like a baby when I finally found it. Ironstone, ahhhhhh, as I sit and gaze off into the sunset just thinking about you……Note the raw cotton, my daughter found, and we aren’t even down south ya’ll. The letters are from a vintage game, and look lovely in the Ironstone bowl. A bust, usually not my thing, but this one caught me. I added the lace and clip earring, and she will look nice in my art booth display. The bird print, had to have, cardinals are my youngest favorite, and the artist shares the same name as my oldest. I hope you enjoy viewing these vintage finds you piddle around your abode today. Enjoy!
