Journey, inspiration, refinding, and renewing is a common theme around here. My creative journey over the years has evolved much differently than I ever could have envisioned …
I wouldn’t change a thing…
The struggles, joys, challenges, make the small successes even richer…
I keep a journal by my bedside recording my creative process… steps, ideas, thoughts on keeping balance between the creative world, everyday life and family…
A good balance seems to keep it real, as well as joyful and an outlet, not a chore…
love seeing small steps, like planting a seed, grow into something beautiful…
This brings me to last weekend…
Was blessed to spend time with my mother and sister. We partook on our most favorite activity…book store browsing. Starting out in the design and art magazine section was satisfied to find Somerset Home magazine, ordered a warm cup of coffee and found a soft comfy chair to inhabit…
Opened the first page…I screamed! Not the typical reaction that you hear in a book store, a whisper seemed more dignified, like being in a library, or a Hallmark store. I randomly discovered on the very first page that I turned to, my work had been published! I threw dignity out the window and yelled for my sister…
What made the discovery even sweeter? Sharing it with people I care about…
Now I get to share it with you…
Enjoy,”Furniture Transformations” and “Creative Vignettes”, as they are so titled. A few examples of a furniture piece I created, and displays from around my house.
